Professor of Jewish thought and philosophy at Hebrew University, Moshe Halbertal is the co-editor of Judaism and the Challenges of Modern Life and the author of People of the Book: Canon, Meaning and Authority, among other titles in English and Hebrew.

Nathaniel Deutsch is professor and co-director of the Center for Jewish Studies at UC Santa Cruz.  He has written on Gnosticism, Hasidism and Black-Jewish identity.
