Professor Dorian Bell has been awarded the Malcolm Bowie Prize for the best article in French studies published in 2009 by an early- career scholar. This prize is given by the Society for French Studies; the article is “The Jew as Model: Anti-Semitism, Aesthetics, and Epistemology in the Goncourt Brothers’ Manette Salomon,” Modern Language Notes 124: 4 (2009): 825-47.
