Emanuela Trevisan Semi is professor of Modern Hebrew and Jewish Studies at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice (Italy). She has done research about Jews at the margins (karaites, Jews of Ethiopia, Judaising movements) and mizrahim in Israel. She has recentely published a book in French on memory and represention of Jews in Morocco among Moroccan Muslims (Paris, Publisud, 2011).
